The Opportunity

We are actively looking for a skilled and ambitious User Experience Designer to join our Neat Design Team. We are creating award winning video devices and experiences for companies and organizations all over the world, with a goal to constantly lessen the divide between the physical and digital, helping people meet and collaborate whether they are apart or together.

The role is located ideally in Oslo, but if you can work remotely in the same time zone and have the opportunity to travel to our Headquarters when needed you will still be considered. The role requires an analytical approach and discerned ability to translate complex user and business challenges into useful and compelling design solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about design, and a keen problem-solver up to date on best practices and trends within the profession. You will work in a fast-paced environment across several projects, be trusted with responsibilities, and expected to promote a constructive environment for creative exploration and designs to become real.

What you will do

• Create valuable and high quality user experiences from concept to specifications to finished solution in the areas: embedded system applications, Saas platforms and website design.
• Identify user needs, and help define project approach.
• Work closely with other UX designers, visual designers, industrial designers, software developers and marketing in the process of building the right user experiences.
• Understand our customers and end users across the world, and preserve their perspective working in multidisciplinary teams.
• Contribute to our design process and principles, and help coordinate design work.
• Contribute to ensuring a consistent, simple and Neat user experience across all touchpoints.

Who you will work with

You will be a part of the Neat Design team. A highly experienced team of doers and dreamers who aren’t afraid to challenge, and we work closely with software developers and product managers in our Oslo office and remotely.

Required qualifications

• Relevant education (bachelor or higher) in ux/interaction design or related field.
• Experience with ux/interaction design for mobile, web, desktop or embedded system applications. Some experience with web design particularly is a plus.
• Can demonstrate end-to-end thinking from insight to concept to specifications and finished solution.
• Proficient in wireframing, visualization and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe suite, etc.
• Professional experience working on user interface design projects in multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent in English.
