Digital Product Designer
An excellent opportunity for an experienced designer who loves turning complex systems into simple, human experiences and wants to help shape the future of video collaboration. Sound like you?
About the role
At Neat, we design video collaboration devices and experiences used in meeting rooms all over the world.
Our products run Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet - but what we really design is how people, rooms, devices and software work together: reliably, intuitively, and at scale - bringing a human touch to highly technical systems.
We’re looking for a Digital Product Designer with strong conceptual thinking and excellent execution. This role goes far beyond UI design. You’ll work across hardware, embedded software, cloud services, and multi-device room experiences - shaping how Neat products are set up, managed, and used from first power-on to everyday operation.
This is a role for designers who enjoy complexity, constraints, and systems thinking - and who know how to turn that into simple, intuitive experiences.
What you will do
Design end-to-end experiences across:
Device setup and administration (on-device and cloud)
Embedded user interfaces
Cloud-based management tools (Neat Pulse)
Multi-device interactions within meeting rooms
Drive discovery and concept development:
Frame problems clearly
Gather insights from users, customers, and internal teams
Translate technical and business constraints into strong design directions
Make decisions that balance user needs, feasibility, and product goals
Make ideas real:
Sketch, prototype, and define interaction flows
Work through edge cases, states, and transitions
Deliver design specs that developers can build from
Collaborate closely with:
Engineers (software, audio/video, embedded, cloud, frontend)
Product managers and tech leads
Industrial and visual designers
Occasionally go-to-market teams - but always anchored in product, not brand/UI
Help ensure Neat products feel:
Coherent across devices
Simple despite technical complexity
Thoughtful at both a system and a detail level
You are likely a good fit if you:
Have formal education in interaction design, product design, or a related field
Have a solid grounding in human–computer interaction and interaction design principles
Are curious, bright, and able to approach problems from unexpected angles, while demonstrating strong conceptual thinking, not just UI execution
Have experience designing complex products or systems - not just marketing sites or apps
Enjoy working within technical constraints and understanding how things work
Think holistically across devices, environments, states, and time
Have a genuine interest in how things work and see limitations not as blockers, but as creative constraints
Stay up to speed on new tools and trends, including how AI can enhance the design process
Experience with hardware–software products, embedded systems, SaaS platforms, or IT/admin tools is a plus.
What you’ll get
The opportunity to design products used by thousands of teams globally
Real influence over how hardware and software come together
A design-driven environment with strong cross-disciplinary collaboration
The rare chance to work deeply with rooms, devices, and cloud services as one system
